Sao Paulo | BrazilWhy São Paulo?
São Paulo is the “Brazilian locomotive” that drives the national economy – it serves as a base for nearly every major and minor industry in Brazil. São Paulo is Brazil’s most significant import centre, responsible for generating 15% of Brazil’s gross national product.

The city frequently hosts major expositions, conferences, and international trade meetings. As announced by the International Congress & Convention Association, it is the most important destination for international events in all of America hosting over 75% of all trade fairs and undergoing at minimum one business trade every three days. The trade show market alone moves $1.3 billion a year – $380 million in venue rental, $380 million in equipment and $555 million in travel, lodging and transport.

São Paulo is without a doubt strategically located to capitalize on all trade opportunities. The São Paulo office offers business services not limited to trade support, market intelligence, business matching, and negotiation services.

Why Brazil?Why Brazil?
Brazil's economy outweighs that of all other South American countries. Brazil is expanding its presence in world markets with imports of $176 billion (freight on board, as of 2008). Import commodities include oil, machinery, electronics, automotive parts, chemical products, as well as electrical and transportation equipment. As of 2007, major import partners include the US (15.7%), China (10.5%), Argentina (8.6%), Germany (7.2%), and Nigeria (4.4%). Growth of imports means more opportunities for you!

Your Opportunities:

  • Energy & natural resource sector (import growth of steel by 95.4%, copper by 72.4%)
  • Food & beverage & agriculture sector (import growth of fertilizers by 74.3%, cereal and milling products by 119.5%)
  • Oil & gas sector (import growth of motor vehicles and parts by 69.0%
  • Machinery and raw materials (import growth of rubber by 58.6%, plastics and chemical by 54.6%, mechanical equipment by 51.4%, consumer electronic devices by 43.2%)
