CANADA EXPORT CENTRE IS EXPORTING ITS EXHIBITION HALL
As a client-exhibitor, your company will now be showcased in all of our overseas locations rather than just in Vancouver!
Since our inception five years ago, we have made several transitions, growing and improving with each change. Initially, we established an Export Exhibition Hall in downtown Vancouver, then we began providing in-market research and business development services, and then we began to link our clients with in-market distributors and customers.
Our latest transition will place you much closer to foreign buyers, while at the same time situating CEC personnel in-market where we can be of greatest benefit to you. These changes come as a result of a close review of our business as well as a careful assessment of the impact of the current global economic situation where we now see an increase in overseas trade enquiries from our network, however, a decrease in physical trade traffic through our Exhibition Hall.
Here are the key changes you will see at the Canada Export Centre, beginning immediately:
MORE OVERSEAS OFFICES
5 in-market offices were announced in the last 5 months: Shanghai, Chongqing, Dubai, Mexico City, and Seoul Opening in the coming months: Japan, Brazil, Chile, Europe and 2 more offices in China Each office will provide sales, research, sales representation, complementary services, as well as showcasing our Canadian Clients in our new dynamic digital display format. We call this our IBN (International Business Network) Program.
IN-MARKET SALES REP PROGRAM
Each office can offer in-market CEC sales representatives who can represent and develop sales for your products/services Finding and managing good off-shore representatives can be costly and time consuming. Let our offices represent, recruit, supervise, and manage your company’s sales activities in-market.
LARGER RESEARCH AND SALES DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Over the past five years we have been diligently building our international business contact database. Also, during the most recent 2 years, we completed over 300 research projects that have greatly contributed to the growing depth of our database contacts. We plan to expand our research team both in Canada and abroad and expand our in-market sales development personnel.
ADDITION OF A CORPORATE FINANCE DIVISION
In these times of the economic uncertainty, we have discovered entrepreneurs and investors around the world who are looking for safe places to invest their money. Canada is a highly desirable country in which to invest at this time. With this in mind, starting immediately, we are bringing into Canada a steady stream of qualified investors looking for opportunities to finance and partner with Canadian firms. Tracy A. Moore, our new Managing Director and head of our affiliated company, Canadian Horizon Capital Corp., has the mandate of introducing financiers to our clients and to facilitate mergers and joint ventures.
MODIFICATION OF VANCOUVER LOCATION
The Canada Export Centre Advisory board and long standing clients have agreed that the digital dynamic displays in all of the overseas offices is now more relevant than the historic static display in Vancouver, therefore, we have chosen an aggressive off-shore expansion plan.
Our Vancouver office will serve as the headquarters of international operations. From this location, we will conduct market research and business development. However, with increasing momentum, research will be managed from Vancouver and carried out in-market. Our foreign offices will also provide in-depth sales and lead generation and will house our showcase of Canadian Clients.
The Vancouver location will be modified to showcase our clients in the same dynamic digital format like our in-market offices. Your company profile will also be showcased in 35 languages allowing greater international access to those who do not speak English. Your information will be far easier to modify/update when changes occur.
