The Mayor of Burnaby and several City Councillors left for Beijing early this morning for a one week Mission in Beijing and Tianjin.

Canada Export Centre - Beijing is the main sponsor and organiser of the event which includes meetings with Beijing’s Governor, and the Mayor of Tianjin, one of China’s four direct Cities.

The primary purpose of this mission is identifying cooperation opportunities in education, health and technology.

The City of Burnaby hopes that the Twinning of Burnaby and Tianjin will stimulate economic exchanges to and from the region.
